Object Oriented Programming Lab

The object-oriented programming laboratory reinforces understanding of basic object-oriented programming concepts and techniques (objects, classes and subclasses, methods) and their expression. The lab provides practice using object creation, initialization, message passing, class hierarchies, inheritance, polymorphism and templates. It also provides practice using non-object aspects such as loops and conditionals. The lab incorporates a number of experiments with one experiment per session is performed and 10 experiments in total.

Experiments :

  • Review of structured programming language.
  • Declaring Classes and Creating Objects.
  • Create a package, use private modifier and default constructor.
  • Passing objects to methods, overloading methods, this keyword, static keyword.
  • Declare and create arrays of objects, store and process objects in array.
  • “Has-a” relationship.
  • “Is-a” relationship, using super keyword and overriding methods.
  • Abstract classes, abstract methods and overriding abstract methods.
  • Polymorphism.
  • Create and implements interface.
  • GUI Basics and Event-Driven Programming.
